Artist Statement
My artistic practice begins with intuitive, emotional, and material exploration. Photography is my starting point, but I move beyond the boundaries of the image. I dismantle, cut, and reassemble, creating objects that connect documentation and memory, body and material.
My background in jewelry design has deeply shaped my affinity for working with my hands, my pursuit of precision, my emotional connection to materials, and my sense of physical closeness to the work.
The themes I explore are rooted in my personal life: body image, intergenerational relationships, my relationship with my parents, cultural roots, and female identity.
My process always begins with a sense of searching. I do not set out with a fully formed idea, but with a feeling or a question seeking expression through action.
